So as we have entered summers in India, with this unbearable heat we get to deal with a lot of problems like Dehydration, Sun tan, Sun burn, Itchy Skin. It is necessary that we take care of our body and our skin in summers.

My Take on Vya Naturals Rose Balancing Face Scrub:

Our skin goes through a lot of troubles during summers and my skin becomes very sensitive in these days. As I said exfoliation is the must for any skin during summers. A scrub has to be gentle or else excessive scrubbing can lead to breakouts of damage of skin, I was in search of a gentle scrub. I tried a lot of scrubs and then I found this product, thought of giving it a try. The moment I saw this product my first thought was, would it even work? It doesn’t even feel like it has any scrub like particles in it. And then when I used it I was surprised to see the results of this scrub. While I was scrubbing off the product it felt very soft unlike other scrubs and when I rinsed my face my skin felt fresh & smooth like butter and I literally had a beautiful glow on my face.

 What are the steps of facial?

  • Cleansing
  • Exfoliating
  • Steaming
  • Toning
  • Moisturizing

So we are going to include all these steps in our facial and get a super supple and glowing skin. Let’s get started.

  1. Cleansing

For cleansing we need fresh AloeVera gel and a lemon. Yes cleansing skin is this easy! Take 2 teaspoons of AloeVera gel and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and few drops of rose water to it. Mix it well and massage it on clean face.  Massage well in circular motion to let the goodness of it absorb into your skin. Let it just be for 5 minutes and wipe it off with a clean wet towel or a wet cotton ball.

  1. Exfoliating

While doing facial it is extremely important to exfoliate your skin to get rid of all the dead skin cell on your skin and for that we need is AloeVera and Rice flour. Put some rice flour on to the AloeVera and scrub it onto face and if you are using AloeVera gel mix the rice flour to it and use. Rice flour helps in brightening skin and can be used as a mild scrub for sensitive skin. Scrub gently for 2-3 minutes. And let it stay it on your skin while you do the next step Steaming.

  1. Steaming

So guys this is an optional step. There are many people who are not comfortable with steaming. So if you skip this step wipe your face with wet towel when done with exfoliating.

  1. Toning

After scrubbing my face I like to use a toner and a very mild toner is Rose water. So, you can just spray some rose water after Exfoliating also you can make a toner using AloeVera gel and rose water.

  1. Moisturizing

The last and the most important step is moisturizing. For that you need 1 Vitamin E capsule. Take some AloeVera gel add in 1 Vitamin E capsule to it and mix it well. Apply it on face and leave it on for good 30 minutes. Vitamin E oil is sticky and can make your skin feel oily but it nourishes your skin a lot and helps you give a soft, supple and moisturized skin. Wash it off with luke warm water after 30 minutes.

The remaining extracted AloeVera gel i store it in refrigerator for like 3-4 days and apply it every night.

How often should this facial be done?

You can do this facial once in 15 days.  I also recommend applying fresh AloeVera gel every night to keep skin nourished, irritation free, soft and glowing. Also with regular use of AloeVera gel you can find your skin to be spotless and youthful. Also remember this is not going to happen overnight. Regular use will definitely give you best results.

My take on FabIndia Neem Tulsi Face & Body Gel Scrub:

Well, gel scrubs feel very light and smooth over skin, I always prefer gel based scrubs over cream based scrubs. This pretty gel scrub comes in a transparent tub with a golden screw lid that opens in a circular motion along with that it has a white lid on the inside to avoid spillage of product. The gel in it looks very attractive which has green and brownish particles of the neem leaves and walnut shell. The particles are very mild & not too rough on skin which makes it perfect for delicate skin and is great exfoliating scrub for combination and oily skin type. It has a very natural fragrance of tulsi and neem leaves that stays for a very little while and then fades away. It’s said to  be face and body scrub but honestly I prefer using it only on face because it is very mild which I think won’t work well on body, also a lot amount of scrub will be needed for body which will not go for a long time.

So basically, it is an antibacterial exfoliator which is good for preventing acne and giving a cooling effect and smooth skin. Whenever I use this product it gives me a nice cooling effect and makes my skin feel fresh and soothing. I personally love this product. I use it 2-3 times a week it can be used on alternate days as it is very mild and will not irritate skin. Also on sunny days you can use it by refrigerating to get even more cooling effect.

  • Not at all greasy as it is gel based
  • Mild granules which are not at all harsh over skin

Added to all this is the pollution we face in our daily routine & get hit with acne breakouts and skin disorders.

There’s a serious relationship between our skin and body and that’s interdependent.

It’s necessary to understand the foundation to healthy & radiant skin starts on the inside.

Our skin is the largest & fastest growing organ of our body & it accounts for about 6 to 10 percent of our body weight. All the cells in our body require Nutrition, Hydration, Oxygen & Detoxification to flourish.

What we apply over our skin is equally important to as what we put in our body or what we consume.

With this in mind, healthy skin can be achieved by being Optimistic & making thoughtful choices between our mind, body & soul.

Along with this one needs to pay attention to some more factors that can contribute to healthy skin which includes

  1. HYDRATION

When we say hydration what comes into our mind is water & why not?

Hydration refers to increase in water content.

In relation with skin care, hydration means increasing water level in our skin cells which results in healthy & glowing skin.

UV B rays have shorter wave & mostly responsible for Sunburn.

Applying sunscreen everyday is as necessary as taking a shower.

Using a good sunscreen becomes very important as it protects skin against largest range of UV light.

Other most important factor is Sun Protection Factor (SPF)

Sunscreens should be with an SPF of 15 or higher even on cloudy days.

Also, application of sunscreen doesn’t last for entire day long.

It breakdowns in light & loses its effectiveness over a period of time.

One should apply a sunscreen every 4-5 hours at least.

Using a sunscreen should be made a habit even if one is not exposed much to the sun.

  1. Exfoliation of skin

There are dead cells on our face having clogged pores which oftenly leads to acne, blackheads , whiteheads making skin rough and dull.

Exfoliating our skin is an important factor which leads to supple and soft glowing skin.

  1. GOOD FOOD HABITS

For a healthy skin it’s compulsory that we eat good.

Instead of having junk, focus more on having fruits.

Fruits like Apples, bananas, pomegranates.

Adding Dal & pulses in everyday routine will improve your digestion keeping body clean inside out.

Yes sleep is a major factor that helps have a flawless skin.

In our daily hustle we often avoid resting which affects our body directly making us feel & look dull.

In order to look fresh & feel fresh one needs to take good amount of sleep.

Sleep is food for our brain, body & skin & if we don’t get it enough we get deprived of nourishment adding to scary dark circles.

So to avoid these trouble take good 7-8 hours of sleep to stay fresh & young.

  1. BE OPTIMISTIC

Last but not the least Your ATTITUDE!

Being Optimistic is vital for healthy and a beautiful skin.

Every difficulty in life has a solution so why stress yourself??
